National News:A big fraud related to Puri's holy Shree Jagannath temple has been revealed. A fake website named 'India Thrills' was taking money from devotees and luring them to get special darshan. This gang was targeting innocent devotees by selling tickets online.

The different rates Of Darshan

Many types of rates were fixed for darshan on this website. The price was fixed at Rs 50 for ordinary darshan, Rs 100 for quick darshan, and up to Rs 500 for VIP darshan. Not only this, but to make the website look real, information about the history of the temple, worship method, and darshan system was also added in it so that people believe it to be real.

Clear message of temple administration

The temple administration has made it clear that entry and darshan in the Puri Sri Jagannath temple are completely free. No fee of any kind is charged from any devotee. The administration has warned people not to trust any unauthorized website or agent.

Police started an investigation

Puri SP Prateek Singh took the matter seriously and said that the help of cyber experts is being taken to identify the gang involved in online fraud. The police have assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits.

Appeal to devotees

The police and temple administration have appealed to the devotees to get information only from the official websites of the Odisha government and the temple administration. If online tickets or payment are demanded anywhere, then immediately inform the police.

Such cases have come to light earlier also

This is not the first time that fraud has taken place in the name of Puri temple. Even before this, many fake websites and agents have been caught collecting money from devotees. Despite warnings, fraudsters try to cheat people by adopting new methods again and again.

How to identify fake websites?

  • Darshan in Puri temple is always free. No ticket is genuine.
  • Trust only sites with .gov.in or official links.
  • Be careful if a mobile number or personal email ID is given on the website.
  • Demanding online payment in the name of darshan, prasad, or a ticket is illegal.
  • If you have any doubt, contact the police or temple administration immediately.
